The view unfolded before you is a group of the world’s oldest wooden structures constructed around the 7th or the 8th century. Be amazed at the incredible power of natural wood and the highest wisdom of the ancient carpenters. Stepping into the gallery, you will see the world’s finest treasures ranging from sculptures, industrial arts, pictures to documents. Some of them are such exquisite pieces of work, and it is said that the same works cannot ever be reproduced!

Walk around a group of the 7th-century original structures and appreciate priceless treasures in the museum – this marvelous experience will surely awaken a deeper understanding of all that is Japanese!
